IMAGE GUIDELINES

"THE MOST CRUCIAL PART!

MAKING SURE YOUR BABY LOOKS PERFECT FOR HIS/HER ILLUSTRATION."

The first step to a great illustration is the quality of your image. Follow these guidelines and tips to make sure yours is perfect:

- Use a smartphone or any high quality camera.

- When taking the photo, ensure it is taken in good lighting whether that be daylight or a well lit room. Making sure their entire face is equally lit and there are no dark shadows. Make sure your pet is looking at the camera at eye level. (Slight side profiles are also ok) If images are taken from above the neck is lost and doesn't look as good on the final design. (See images below)

- If it is possible to send an unfiltered photo, that is best. If anything make sure filters or editing are limited so I can create the perfect representation of your fur baby and get their colors spot on!

- Make sure they are dressed in their best attire. Any collars, bows or other cute outfits will be illustrated in your final portrait so make sure you are happy with what they are wearing. 'Favorite collars are always the best!'

HERE ARE EXAMPLES TO HELP YOU DECIDE THE PERFECT PHOTO:

    GOOD:

  • Pet facing camera at eye level

  • Great lighting

  • Face & neck are clearly visible

    BAD:

  • Angled face & not at eye level

  • Low lighting & heavy shadows

  • Pet laying down

  • Head & neck not completely visible
